Persiapan Untuk Melancong

Setiap negara mempunyai undang-undang berbeza, patuhi undang-undang berkenaan.

Perancangan
Kebanyakan orang tidak tahu merancang dengan baik apa yang perlu dilakukan sebelum melancong, akhirnya menyebabkan mereka terpaksa berhadapan dengan pelbagai masalah sepeti perbelanjaan yang tidak diduga dan tertinggal barangan penting. Perancangan yang bijak perlu dimulakan berasaskan beberapa perkara, iaitu;

Ways To Secure Your Job

serenemaklong.blogspot.com

With the unpredictable economic landscape, “job security” seems to be a catch phrase these days. Companies cannot guarantee job security. So, it is left to the individuals to guarantee their own employability. Here are four ways to hold onto your rice bowl:

Enhance your knowledge and skills
One should first understand the three core competencies that are needed in all organizations – conceptual skills, people skills and technical skills. You will need to this match your capabilities to what the company requires. Organisations tend to need more technical skills at the lower and implementation levels and conceptual skills at the top.  As such, as you move upwards in the organization, you are required to use more of your conceptual faculty and less of your technical know-how.

Most people fail to understand these dynamics and work against what the company needs. For example, when their job is to do the task [technical skills], they tend to talk too much. For others when the task is to think strategically [conceptual skills], they do the job instead. Meanwhile, others who are supposed to engage with their people [human skills] spend more time thinking! Employers and superiors have a memory of your performance. So, work hard and get your skills –set right when times are good so that when times get bad and there is a need to be lean, you are seen as the ‘muscles’ that the organization deeply yearns for, and not the ‘fat’that needs to be trimmed off.

Go Above and Beyond
When it comes to job security, it’s all about making yourself most useful to your organization. It’s asking what you can do for the organisation, not what it can do for you.

Make your boss’ and company’s goals yours. Your job is still yours if your company survives. You must do everything within ethical means to keep it afloat. Come in earlier and go back later. Talk less and do more.

Essentially, this means that you should do more than what is required of you. Don’t limit yourself to your job scope. Use your entrepreneurial skills and creativity. It can be bringing in more money but it can also come in the form of ideas and initiatives. Let  your company know that you are thinking above and beyond.

It is a good idea to try your hand at doing sales. During bad times, revenue is key to survival. This is your opportunity to jump into sales and learn selling skills, a skill you need to succeed whether you are in sales or otherwise. Once you learn to sell during hard times, you will be able to sell at any time. If you can bring in revenue [that is ] five times your salary, your job is guaranteed.

Companies always look for people who can work in a team, outside their own forte. It never hurts to bring in more sales for the company. Say you are in the public relations department and you know that a company you’re liasing with is opening a new office. You could think of ways to market the company’s products.

To stand out from the pack, employees also need to understand the company’s direction. You’ve got to know how the company is doing. For instance, what are its latest investments and acquisitions, and how much it’s making a year.  You must also know the external factors that may affect your company’s well being.

You can think of ways to save money for the company. For instance, you make use of office supplies in more effective ways, such as recycling paper and switching off lights and air-conditioners. Executives can also opt to take budget flights to help their company save costs.

Demonstrate real commitment and passion
In tough times, it’s all the more important for you to put yourself and your ideas out there. Share your ideas. Don’t be a wallflower. Socialise and network with your colleagues. Show people what you’ve done and what you’ve learnt.

Others will talk more positively about you. That’s more powerful than you talking about yourself. Don’t, however, do this just to put on a show. Your boss will see through it. If you do it in all honesty, the good will be seen.

Improve your work ethics
It’s important to be happy and enthusiastic about your work. Don’t whine. Your co-workers will get tired of it after a while.

Look forward to your work daily, Only losers and those who are not CEO potentials hate Mondays. Have you heard of a successful entrepreneur not liking Mondays? Only short-sighted radio deejays lament Monday blues and celebrate Fridays with “Thank God It’s Friday.”  Do not be influenced by them each Monday and Friday. God has given you seven days a week, so please be happy all the seven days. It is really silly to only choose to be happy two days in a week.

Ensure that you’re also keeping track of your performance and productivity.Refrain from browsing social networking sites like Facebook, MSN and blogs when you’re at work. Move faster and be more efficient. Have shorter lunch breaks if it helps. Volunteer for extra work and projects. No employer will fault someone who works very hard and has the right attitude. It will be hard for an employer to ask a person to leave even if the economy is bad. Just be productive and add value, your job will be safe.

Be patient with the seed you sow
When volunteering for extra work, it pays to look beyond immediate returns. While money is essential, it should be the least important motivation. Never in history has people become rich by claiming overtime or extra allowance. One would work for the opportunity to to pick up, experience and practice conceptual and human skills.

If your current organization provides you with such opening, you are in a good place. Bigger salary will come when one is equipped with such important career skills.

If your ask for extra allowance for doing extra work, you may be seen to be demanding. Things are tough. The company wants people who can understand the current  environment. Your company will automatically reward you when it gets back on its feet.

People who lose their jobs are people who don’t try hard enough when the opportunity presents itself.

Take unpaid leave wisely
To keep operating costs down, some companies are encouraging their employees to take unpaid leave. If you’re given the option to take unpaid leave, do a cost-benefit analysis and weigh the pros and cons. Be careful that it’s not an ‘out of sight, out of mind’ case.

Use the time wisely to explore yourself, like pursuing studies and upskill yourself. Think of how you can come back and add value to your organization.

Network
Network with people within or outside your organization. Networking makes you more marketable, and adds value to your lifetime career. If your current organization lets you go, there may be five other organizations that may need you. By networking you will know what the industry can offer.

Keep your resume updated. It should talk about all your achievements, track record and what you can do for other companies.

Precautions when returning home after a flood

serenemaklong.blogspot.com

Electrical power and natural gas or propane tanks should be shut off to avoid fire, electrocution, or explosions. Try to return to your home during the daytime so that you do not have to use any lights.
Use battery-powered flashlights and lanterns, rather than candles, gas lanterns, or torches.

If you smell gas or suspect a leak, turn off the main gas valve, open all windows, and leave the house immediately. Notify the police or fire departments, and do not turn on the lights or do anything that could
cause a spark. Do not return to the house until you are told it is safe to do so.

Your electrical system may also be damaged. If you see frayed wiring or sparks, or if there is an odour of something burning but no visible fire, you should immediately shut off the electrical system at the circuit breaker.

Avoid any downed power lines, particularly those in water. Avoid wading in standing water, which also may contain glass or metal fragments.

All electrical equipment and appliances must be completely dry before returning them to service. It is advisable to have a certified electrician check these items if there is any question.

Clean-up

Walls, hard-surfaced floors, and many other household surfaces should be cleaned with soap and water and disinfected with a solution of one cup of bleach to 22 litre (5 gallons) of water.

Be particularly careful to thoroughly disinfect surfaces that may come in contact with food, such as counter tops, pantry shelves, refrigerators, etc. Areas where small children play should also be carefully cleaned.

Wash all linens and clothing in hot water, or dry clean them. For items that cannot be washed or dry cleaned, such as mattresses and upholstered furniture, air dry them in the sun and then spray them thoroughly with a disinfectant.

Steam clean all carpeting. If there has been a backflow of sewage into the house, wear rubber boots and waterproof gloves during cleanup. Remove and discard contaminated household materials that cannot be disinfected, such as wall-coverings, cloth and rugs.

Chemical hazards

Use extreme caution when returning to your area after a flood. Be aware of potential chemical hazards you may encounter during flood recovery.

Flood waters may have buried or moved hazardous chemical containers of solvents or other industrial chemicals from their normal storage places.

If you see any propane tanks, do not attempt to move them yourself. These represent a very real danger of fire or explosion, and if any are found, the police or fire departments should be contacted immediately.

Car batteries, even those in flood water, may still contain an electrical charge and should be removed with extreme caution by using insulated gloves. Avoid coming in contact with any acid that may have spilled from a damaged car battery.

Trivia Kediaman dan Laman (1)

serenemaklong.blogspot.com

Dinding Tidak Retak Ketika Memaku

Jika Tidak Mahu Memasang Jeriji Besi

Persediaan Taman Dapur (edible garden)

Contohnya racun rumpai mempunyai bahan aktif ammonium glufosinate.

Lambatkan Proses Pertumbuhan Rumpai

The Health Risk You Could Be Ignoring

serenemaklong.blogspot.com

Do you drink only when you’re thirsty? Are sugar-laden carbonated sodas your favorite drinks? If you’ve answered yes to either of these questions, then you are inadvertently dehydrating your body. Keeping your body well hydrated is not difficult, but can require constant remainders, particularly if you rarely feel hot or thirsty (when you’re at the office, for example). However, losing fluid that’s not replenished can result in poor concentration, light-headedness, lethargy, dizziness and nausea. In fact, constant dehydration can result in the accumulation of urea in your body, which can then lead to kidney failure.

Are you drinking enough?

The amount of fluid you need and lose varies with the individual, says Dr. Shu Xiaocai, Ph.D., principal scientist at the Gatorade Sports Science Institute in Barrington, Illinois. Athletes undergo tests such as the Sweat Analysis and Hydration Assessment to get an insight into how their bodies function during intense exercise. While not everyone has access to these tests, a simple weight check before and after a workout will suffice to give you an idea of how much fluid you’ve lost through sewating. “When you train in future, be sure to drink the amount of fluid you’ve lost, or at least 80% of it,” says Dr. Shi.

As a guideline, you should be drinking:
>500-600ml 2 hours before your workout
>150 – 200 ml every 15-20 minutters during your workout
>600-700ml immediately after your workout

Being inactive is no reason to be complacent about your fluid intake.

Don’t Run On Empty
  1. Drink a glass of water once you wake up in the morning. Also, make sure you’re well hydrated before going to bed at night.
  2. Drink regularly by taking sips of water throughout the day – don’t wait until you feel thirsty to drink.
  3. Minimize your caffeine intake – caffeine is a diuretic, which can make uyou urinate more.
  4. When you play sports or exercise intensively, opt for sports drinks as these help you rehydrate better, and faster.
  5. Going to the bathroom often is a sign that you are well hydrated. The more yellow your urine is, the more dehydrated you are.

Sebelum keluar rumah:

Fatihah
Ayatul Qursi 1x
Quraish 1x

Dengan nama Allah, Yang Maha Pemurah, lagi Maha Mengasihani.
1. kerana kebiasaan aman tenteram kaum Quraisy (penduduk Makkah)

Al-Ikhlas 3x
Ayat penggerak 3x

Keluar rumah melangkah kaki kanan sambil membaca doa keluar rumah (Bismillahi Tawaqaltu Alallah. Lahaulawala Quwata Illa BiLLAHi Aliyil Azim).

Semasa sampai di kedai atau majlis:

Quraish 1x
InnALLAHa Qawiyun Aziz 3x
Ayat pengerak 3

WALLAHUALAM.

Amalan Memagar Rumah

serenemaklong.blogspot.com

Oleh Ustaz Wan Asrul dari Terapi Islam Al-Fatah, Melaka

Sebelum Amalan:

Lahaulawala Quwata Illa BiLLAHi Aliyil Azim.WALLAHUALAM.

How to Reduce Symptoms of Jet Lag

serenemaklong.blogspot.com

You may be looking forward to a vacation or a business visit as you board the plane to your destination, but jet lag sure can dampen those spirits. Here's how you can beat those symptoms and get going:

Get Your Posture Right
Do not slouch. Getting your posture right averts unwanted physical strain that you otherwise need to face.

Reset Your Watch
Simply resetting your watch to the time zone you are travelling in can make you mentally adjusted to the local time and help you prepare for the time difference.

Hydrate Yourself
You don't want that drowsy feeling once you exit the plane, so drink plenty of water and rejuvenate yourself.

Stretch
Prevent muscle cramps and improve circulation by walking in the aisle for a few minutes whenever possible.
Stand up often to stretch your limbs, and remove your shoes as you stretch your feet.

Breathe Well
Take long deep breaths often to ensure your brain gets enough oxygen supply. Spend a few minutes focusing on your breath and calm your mind.

Keep Yourself Busy
Read a book, listen to music, and watch a movie, or talk with the person beside you. Interesting activities will help pass those long hours as you journey across long miles.

What You should Avoid
Diuretics like caffeine and alcohol can cause dehydration, so avoid them as you're flying, which is dehydrating enough.Fruit juices or water are the best to stay feeling internally fresh throughout the journey.

Relax
Relaxing is also very important as we travel. After all, when do we get so much free time when we're at work or handling our tight schedules when we're back home? Use eyeshades and earplugs to keep away in flight distractions. Close window shades and turn off overhead cabin lights. These tips could help put you at ease and induce sleep; leaving your energertic once you're done with your nap. Ensure you eat right, carry light, and keep yourself stress free.

Pure Enjoyment
Truly enjoy your trip the next time you're traveling and beat jet lag by having an energetic vibe about you as you exit the plane! As soon as the sun is out, go out, breath deeply, and stay active exploring the new town or atmosphere your are visiting.

Contoh, jika ia menerima sinaran matahari yan sedikit tanamlah spesies shade loving plants seperti Hemigraphis spp, Ophiopogon spo, Pandanus pygmeus dan Eugenia oleana. Manakala untuk kawasan cerun yang menerima kadar cahaya matahari banyak, elok sekali ditanam rumput sahaja.

Car Care (3)

serenemaklong.blogspot.com

Hum Of Death

Rubber belts are used in engines for two reasons – they are cheaper to manufacture than the chains they replaced, and they are virtually noiseless in operation.
Their main disadvantage, however, is that they are weaker than timing chains and, thus need to be regularly replaced at intervals ranging from 60,000km to 100,000km, depending on the manufacturer’s requirements.
The replacement belt should run as quietly as the one it replaced. If it does not, the cause(s) should be investigated immediately.
A humming or buzzing noise is usually a result of an incorrectly tensioned belt; the belt is grossly over tensioned. Excessive belt tension overloads the bearings of the belt tensioner and those of the water pump and left alone, the bearings will overheat and fail prematurely, lead into costly repairs.
Overheated bearings can also result in belt failure through melting, and the water pump is likely to leak in due course.
The belt must tensioned using a tensioning tool, available at the larger or authorized workshops. At the same time, the belt should be renewed again as it may already have been weakened by this time. It will be a small price compared to the consequences of belt failure.

Safer to change other bits, too

At the time the timing belt is replaced, it is prudent to replace timing belt pulley or tensioner and bearing too.
Although the bearing is capable of providing many years and miles or service, it can also fail without warning. At best, it operates noisily and, at worst, it may sieze. The bearing runs noisily when the grease has leaked or dried out and the added friction means that the bearing runs at a higher temperature.
High temperatures shorten belt life. Should the bearing seize, the belt could either snap or slip. Either way the consequences are dire, as it would lead to catastrophic engine damage when the valves make contact with the pistons.
The cost of replacing the pulley and bearing is minimal when compared to the cost of a new engine.
When renewing the timing belt, it would be wiser to replace the belt pulley, oil seals and the water pump if this is driven by the belt.

Window into the (car’s) soul

A useful and relatively inexpensive addition to the home mechanic’s toolbox is the spark plug replacement device. It is manufactured by Gunsons, a company based in the United Kingdom.
This device is known as Colortune and is a spark plug with quartz window. The Colortune device is fitted in place of one of the engine’s spark plugs and the colour of the combustion flame is observed through the quarts window.
The mixture is adjusted until the flame turns blue, indicating that the mixtue is at an optimum.
A word of warning though – the degree of accuracy achieved by this method of tuning is unlikely to be highly precise although, in most cases, it should suffice for older vehicles.

Semangat Patriotik

  • mengamalkan sikap kesukarelawanan.
  • menentang rasuah, salah guna kuasa, diskriminasi, perbuatan mencemar alam sekitar, dan sikap malas.
  • saling hormat sesama insan tanpa mengira kaum dan agama.
Semangat patriotisme mampu memperkasakan rakyat Malaysia supaya kita dapat berdiri penuh bermaruah di mata masyarakat dunia.

Obesiti Refraktori

  • Kekejangan otot
  • Berisiko mendapat penyakit metabolik
  • Mudah letih
  • Mata kelihatan sepet
  • Cepat lapar
  • Tidak mampu bersenam
  • Haid tidak menentu bagi wanita
Rawatan

Preparing for a Flood

serenemaklong.blogspot.com

Here are some basic steps to take to prepare for heavy rains/storms:
1. Contact the local authorities to find out if your home is located in a flash-flood-prone area or landslide-prone area.
2. Learn about your community’s emergency plans, warning signals, evacuation routes, and locations of emergency shelters.
3. Plan and practise a flood evacuation route with your family. Ask an out-of-state relative or friend to be the “family contact” in case your family is separated during a flood. Make sure everyone in your family knows the name, address, and phone number of this contact person.
4. Post emergency phone numbers at every phone.
5. Inform local authorities about any special needs, ie, elderly or bedridden people, or anyone with a disability.
6. Identify potential home hazards and know how to secure or protect them before the flood strikes. Be prepared to turn off electrical power when there is standing water, fallen power lines, or before you evacuation. Turn off gas and water supplies before you evacuate. Secure structurally unstable building materials.
7. Buy a fire extinguisher and make sure your family knows where it is and how to use it.
8. Have a licensed electrician raise electric components (switches, sockets, circuit breakers and wiring) at least 12” above your home’s projected flood elevation.
9. For drains, toilets, and other sewer connections, install backflow valves or plugs to prevent floodwaters from entering.

If you are under a flood watch or warning:
1. Gather the emergency supplies you previously stocked in your home and stay tuned to local radio or television station for updates.
2. Turn off all utilities at the main power switch and close the gas valve if evacuation appears necessary.
3. Have your immunisation records handy or be aware of your last tetanus shot, in case you should receive a puncture wound or a wound becomes contaminated during or after the flood.
4. Fill bathtubs, sinks and plastic soda bottles with clean water. Sanitise the sinks and tubs first by using bleach. Rinse and fill with clean water.
5. Bring outdoor possessions, such as lawn furniture, grills and trash cans inside or tie them down securely.

 Emergency supplies you will need
You should stock your home with supplies that may be needed during the emergency period.
At a minimum, these supplies should include:
1. Several clean containers for water, large enough for a three to five day supply of water (about 22 litres for each person).
2. A three to five day supply of non-perishable food and a non-electric can opener.
3. A first aid kit and manual and prescription medicines and special medical needs.
4. A battery-powered radio, flashlights, and extra batteries.
5. Sleeping bags or extra blankets.
6. Water-purifying supplies, such as chlorine or iodine tablets or unscented, ordinary household chlorine bleach.
7. Baby food and/or prepared formula, diapers, and other baby supplies.
8. Disposable cleaning cloths, such as “baby wipes” for the whole family to use in case bathing facilities are not available.
9. Personal hygiene supplies, such as soap, toothpaste, sanitary napkins, etc.
10. An emergency kit for your car with food, flares, booster cables, maps, tools, a first aid kit, fire extinguisher, sleeping bags, etc.
11. Rubber boots, sturdy shoes, and waterproof gloves.
12. Insect repellent containing DEET or Picaridin, screens, or long-sleeved and long-legged clothing for protection from mosquitoes which may gather in pooled water remaining after the flood.

 Preparing to evacuate
Expect the need to evacuate and prepare for it. When a flood watch is issued, you should:
1. Fill your vehicle’s gas tank and make sure the emergency kit for your car is ready.
2. If no vehicle is available, make arrangements with friends or family for transportation.
3. Fill your clean water containers.
4. Review your emergency plans and supplies, checking to see if any items are missing.
5. Tune in the radio or television for weather updates.
6. Put livestock and family pets in a safe area. Due to food and sanitation requirements, emergency shelters cannot accept animals.

If you are ordered to evacuate
You should never ignore an evacuation order. Authorities will direct you to leave if you are in a low-lying area, or within the greatest potential path of the rising waters. If a flood warning is issued for your area or you are directed by authorities to evacuate the area:
1. Take only essential items with you.
2. If you have time, turn off the gas, electricity, and water.
3. Disconnect appliances to prevent electrical shock when power is restored.
4. Follow the designated evacuation routes and expect heavy traffic.
5. Do not attempt to drive or walk across flooded roads.

If you are ordered not to evacuate
To get through the storm in the safest possible manner:
1. Monitor the radio or television for weather updates.
2. Prepare to evacuate to a shelter or to a neighbour’s home if your home is damaged, or if you are instructed to do so by emergency personnel.
3. It is critical for you to remember to practise basic hygiene during the emergency period. Always wash your hands with soap and water that has been boiled or disinfected: before preparing or eating food; after toilet use; after participating in flood cleanup activities; and after handling articles contaminated with flood water or sewage.

Flood waters may contain faecal material from overflowing sewage systems, and agricultural and industrial by-products. Although skin contact with flood water does not, by itself, pose a serious health risk, there is some risk of disease from eating or drinking anything contaminated with flood water.

If you have any open cuts or sores that will be exposed to flood water, keep them as clean as possible by washing well with soap to control infection. If a wound develops redness, swelling, or drainage, seek immediate medical attention.

In addition, parents need to help children avoid waterborne illness. Do not allow children to play in flood water areas, wash children’s hands frequently (always before meals), and do not allow children to play with flood-water contaminated toys that have not been disinfected. You can disinfect toys using a solution of one cup of bleach in 22 litres of water.
