Checklist For Quick-Cleaning A House

serenemaklong.blogspot.com

Whether you are preparing for guests on short notice or simply trying to tidy up so you won’t confront a disheartening mess in the morning, knowing how to do a quick cursory cleaning of your home is a valuable skill.

While you should occasionally undertake a deep-cleaning and serious de-cluttering, quick clean-ups will help maintain order in your home on a day-to-day basis.

Living room
Remove all the clutter; return items to their proper locations if you have time. Keeping a storage basket, or decorative storage cube in the living room area is handy for quickly stashing books and toys when guests are arriving soon. Lightly dust coffee tables, end tables and shelves and wipe off the television screen.

Quickly vacuum the room and finish off by lighting a candle or spritzing a room spray.

Dining room
The dining room table is often a clutter magnet, so the first step in quickly cleaning this room is often finding the table itself beneath all the clutter.

Again, a well-laced basket tucked into a china cabinet can serve to easily hide papers and other clutter from unexpected guests.

Wipe down the table and run a dust cloth over the backs of the chairs and other surfaces in room, such as a buffet. Finish by vacuuming or sweeping the floor to pick up the crumbs.

Kitchen
The kitchen can quickly become one of the dirtiest rooms in the home if you don’t clean it on a regular basis.
When you are short on time, sanitise the counters and appliance surfaces with concentrated liquid soap. Leave the solution on the counters to soak for least one minute while you sweep the floors, empty trash cans and wipe out the sink.

Baking soda will quickly give your sink an attractive shine and a little baking soda and vinegar down the garbage disposal will help get rid of odours. After a few minutes, wipe the solution off the counters with a clean cloth.

Bathroom
You should deep-clean bathrooms once a week, however, when you are short on time, you can quickly clean this area by wiping down the toilet and the surrounding area with a disinfectant wipe.

Wipe toothpaste and soap stains off the counter and sink with a multipurpose cleaner. Quickly clean the mirror with glass cleaner and a sheet of newspaper. Close the shower curtain and replace the towels with fresh, clean towels as a finishing touch.

Bedrooms
If you are quick cleaning for unexpected guests, you might be able to get away with simply closing the bedroom doors.

If you are dealing with visitors who will expect a full tour, however, you will need to tidy up these spaces as well. Making the beds and tossing all laundry into concealed hampers will do wonders to transform a dirty bedroom.

Wipe down nightstands, headboards, dressers and shelves with a dust cloth. Quickly vacuum the carpets if your schedule allows.

Daily Household Chores

The chores in the home can be broken down into a daily, weekly and monthly chore list.
A checklist can help you to keep your house cleaned in an organized way. The list also ensures that you don’t neglect some of your housecleaning tasks.

Divide your daily chores according to the rooms that you will clean.

  • In the kitchen, daily chores include dishwashing, washing countertops, wiping down the stove, emptying the garbage and sweeping the floors.
  • In the bathroom, your daily chores may include wiping down the sink and mirror, sweeping the floor, picking up dirty towels and laundry and emptying the trash if necessary.
  • Living room daily chores include general tidying, such as removing trash, picking up dishes, putting away items that do not belong in the room and cleaning any spills or mess.
  • In the bedrooms your list should include making the beds, picking up laundry, and general tidying.
