Rainbow and Storm

As an illustration of the calm before the storm, there probably isn't any better than the pic above – depending on your proximity to the twister, of course. While most people nearby were probably bolting their doors or heading for the hills as this monster tornado approached, one storm chaser didn’t blow his chance at capturing this extraordinary moment. Peter Gude, 47, was the photographer of this unusual sight of a rainbow and tornado – seemingly just a few miles apart – occurred in the Colorado sky.
