LINKAN SUBUDHI, an IT professional who teaches children in a slum ( Noida) Delhi. Why is she in news; She has rushed to stop child marriage of a 11 year student of her and got brutally beaten up and stabbed by the would be husband and supported by mother of the child. Now she is in Kailash Hospital, Noida. Why did she do that; To Stop Child marriage, a social evil.The incident happened way back in September 2013.She recovered after getting 25 stiches on her head...she is no doubt a brave lady...well with gods grace she is doing well now, even she has got tickets from BJD(biju janata dal) to fight municipal elections in Bhubaneswar in recognition of her bravery( moreover it is political parties try to gain mileage). but no doubt she is brave. Despite laws being in place child marriages take place and Khap panchayats rule not only the hinterlands but even the cities.Shame on you. We should all praise the efforts of this brave girl who is fighting to put people with such mentality behind bars for life.
